You’ve packed your box, scheduled the pickup, and handed over your padala.
Now comes one of the most common questions:
“Nasaan na ang box ko?”
Shipment tracking helps you understand where your balikbayan box is in its journey from the UAE to the Philippines.
Here is what the common tracking stages mean.
Requested
Your shipment request has been created.
At this stage, the box has not necessarily been physically collected yet. The request is waiting to move into the pickup process.
Assigned to Driver
A driver has been assigned to handle the collection.
This means the request is being prepared for pickup based on the operational schedule and service area.
Picked Up
Your box has been collected from your UAE location.
From here, it begins moving into warehouse processing.
In UAE Warehouse
The shipment has reached the UAE warehouse.
Boxes may undergo operational checks, sorting, preparation, consolidation, and other processing before they are assigned for container loading.
Seeing this status for some time does not necessarily mean the shipment has stopped moving operationally.
International sea cargo is processed in batches rather than dispatched individually as soon as each box reaches the warehouse.
Loaded in Container — UAE
Your shipment has been assigned and loaded into a container for its international journey.
This is an important milestone because the box is now part of a specific outbound shipment batch.
In Transshipment — Sea
The shipment is moving through the international sea-freight journey.
Sea cargo takes significantly longer than parcel courier or air-freight services, and tracking updates may be less frequent while the container is travelling between major shipping milestones.
A status does not need to change every day for the shipment to still be progressing.
Arrived in the Philippines
The international shipment has reached the Philippines.
Arrival does not mean the individual box is immediately ready for delivery.
The shipment still needs to go through the required arrival and processing stages.
Customs Screening
The shipment is undergoing the applicable customs process.
Processing times can vary depending on shipment volume, inspection requirements, documentation, public holidays, and other factors.
This is one of the stages where customers should avoid interpreting a few days without a new update as automatically meaning there is a problem.
In Philippine Warehouse
The box has completed the necessary preceding process and reached the Philippine warehouse or distribution operation.
From here, shipments are sorted and prepared according to their final delivery destinations.
Out for Delivery
Good news—your box has entered the final delivery stage.
The local delivery team has prepared the shipment for delivery to the recipient.
Make sure the recipient’s contact number remains reachable in case the delivery team needs assistance locating the address.
Delivered
The box has completed its journey and has been delivered.
For many customers, this is the update they’ve been waiting for since the box left the UAE.
Why doesn’t tracking update every day?
A balikbayan box moves very differently from a small express courier parcel.
Several boxes are consolidated into larger cargo movements, and some parts of the journey—particularly international sea transit—can take place without a new customer-facing scan every day.
Tracking is generally updated when the shipment reaches an important operational milestone.
Factors such as vessel schedules, transshipment, port activity, customs processing, weather, holidays, and final delivery location can also affect the overall timeline.
When should you contact customer support?
If your shipment has remained under the same status significantly longer than expected or you believe something is wrong, have your tracking or request number ready before contacting support.
Providing the reference immediately makes it easier for the team to locate the correct shipment.
Avoid relying only on the recipient’s name where possible, particularly when many shipments may have similar customer information.
Keep your tracking number somewhere safe
Your tracking number is the easiest way to follow the journey of your padala.
Save it after booking and share it with the recipient if they also want to monitor the shipment.
From pickup in the UAE to delivery in the Philippines, each tracking stage represents another step closer to home.
